Gesto Culinary and hospitality academy & National Skill Development Corporation(NSDC) a public private partnership hosted Mark Callaghan(CEO, World Skills, Australia) and Jessica Martin(Silver medallist at WorldSkills Competition 2013 in Leipzig Germany, in Restaurant Service)in partnership with Gesto to prepare the youth of India for the upcoming WorldSkills competition in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2015. World skills International believes in nurturing talent by means of providing vocational training. Every 2 years, it promotes the biggest skill competition in the world. It brings together thousands of skilled participants across the globe. Last time it was held in year 2013 in Germany and India won 3 medals of excellence. In 2015, the competition will be held in Sau Paulo, Brazil.
MARK CALLAGHAN (CEO of WorldSkills Australia) who is responsible for delivering WSA’s vision of contributing to Australia’s sustainable economic prosperity through the development, recognition and promotion of excellence in skills said,“WorldSkills competitions provide a fantastic opportunity to benchmark skills within a country and against the rest of the world.
